FAQ IN CONNECTION WITH COVID-19

(THE CORONA VIRUS)

Europe and the rest of the world are in the grasp of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). The Netherlands and the countries immediately around us have now also imposed extensive measures. That means the virus is now affecting more than our health alone: this pandemic also has a severe impact on social and economic traffic.

The current situation poses several challenges and dilemmas. Within Wiltec we are closely monitoring the developments and government directives and are adjusting to these on a daily basis as required. In doing so, the health of our employees and customers is our top priority. In addition, we have the responsibility of ensuring that we can continue the provision of services to our customers as best as possible.
On our website, we respond to the most frequently asked, relevant, questions and with regard to the (preventative) measures that have been taken.

Besides the national guidelines from the RIVM, we at Wiltec have prepared some additional guidelines and made some additional agreements to minimize the impact as much as possible.

Corona Taskforce

Wiltec has instated a Corona Taskforce team. This team is monitoring the developments closely, confers on a daily basis and is taking measures whenever the situation requires.

In principle, all employees are working from home. Visits to customers and other relations have generally been replaced by online meetings. There are a few exceptions:
– our service- and maintenance department: they are working in our own technical department and on site, in consultation with the customer;
– logistics: they are working in our warehouse to keep all deliveries moving;
– store: is open, but staff levels may vary;
– vital functions: a limited number of staff is at the office to fulfil all functions and safeguard continuity.

For people working at our sites, the following preventative measures apply:

We do not shake hands and we avoid physical contact;
Internal meetings are kept to a minimum and are preferably conducted digitally. In any case, meetings are never conducted with more than 5 people in the same space;
We maintain a healthy distance of 1.5 meters from each other;
We regularly wash our hands with soap and use the disinfectant provided;
The canteen is closed. We take our lunch in small groups, in the workspace or outside and maintain a distance of at least 1.5 meters from each other.
Training courses have been postponed until further notice or will be provided in a digital format.
Our building, including warehouse, will be professionally cleaned extra thoroughly on a daily basis, using disinfectants.

Not at the office, still available!

Our customer services and specialists are fully available. Unfortunately, you may experience longer waiting and response times during peak hours than you are used to from us. We are counting on your understanding and want to assure you we are doing everything within our power to ensure you can reach us.

Various ways to get in touch with your contact

Your contact and our other (field) staff are here for you. They can be reached by phone as well as by e-mail. They are working from home and, using Skype/Teams, can also hold video conferences with you, so that (planned) meetings can be still be conducted as much as possible, albeit in a digital format. We are happy to consult with you about the best option.

Our employees are currently not travelling abroad, business trips have been postponed until further notice. In various countries, our staff continues their work, they remain within their respective country’s borders and are complying with local policy.

Our store

Our store is open as usual, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am through 5:30 pm. Our staff are complying with the measures imposed by the RIVM: maintaining a healthy distance, no handshakes or physical contact, preferably no cash payments and regularly disinfecting their hands and the countertops.

Stock and supply

As of right now, the deliveries of your orders are going ahead as planned. Our people are making every effort to process all orders as quickly as possible. We have taken various measures, including higher stock levels, to safeguard continuity as best as possible.

Currently, virtually all items can be supplied from stock.
For the following items, we are currently experiencing supply issues:

face masks / breathing protection
gel disinfectant
hand soap

Long-term impact

In the short and mid-term, we are not expecting any issues with our stock and deliveries, other than in respect of the aforementioned product groups and assuming usual demand. For the long-term, it is harder to make a prediction. In some cases, that is down to a major peak in demand for specific products (e.g. respiratory protection), in other cases it may be due to closures among the production facilities of manufacturers or transport/import restrictions.

Our suppliers and manufacturers are located all over the world and it is currently unclear how the virus may affect all those different countries and territories. If anything changes in this regard, or if we have more useful information for you, we will of course inform you accordingly. We aim to communicate individually with customers, apprising them of specific information relevant to them.
